Utah Red Cross deploys team to fight tornadoes

(ABC 4) – The Utah Red Cross has deployed teams to support relief efforts from the catastrophic tornadoes that ravaged five states. The storm affected residents of Arkansas, Illinois, Kentucky, Missouri and Tennessee.

“Our hearts are with the families affected by major tornadoes in central our country affecting 12 states. Red Cross teams are active in all of these areas to meet urgent needs for shelter, food and basic needs at this time. Utah volunteers stand ready to deploy as needed and the extent of the damage is appreciated. “

You can help those affected by donating to the Red Cross in disaster situations. People living in areas not affected by this tornado outbreak are encouraged to make an appointment today to donate blood in the days and weeks to come to ensure blood products are available to patients wherever the need arises.
