Utah’s popular ‘The Training Table’ burger could return

UTAH (ABC4) — Popular Utah burger restaurant “The Training Table,” known for its burgers and cheese fries, may return after a 6-year closure.

The restaurant, which had been known as a staple Utah fast food joint for nearly 40 years, posted a message on its website this week, stating, “Tasty things are coming soon…”

The Training Table closed in 2016 after lawsuits between family members involved in owning and operating the restaurant chain.

Their last Facebook post, posted on December 2, 2016, read: “As we look back with fondness on our past 39 years, we couldn’t begin to thank our customers enough for all of their support.

The company thanked its customers for sharing countless warm messages reminiscing about their favorite workout table memories.

“As we have made the decision to close our family business, we celebrate the many treasured memories that have been created over the years. Thank you to our customers, staff and suppliers for making The Training Table ‘A Utah Original!!!’”

We can only hope the legendary cheese fries are back and available for Utahns to enjoy sooner rather than later!
