Utah summers have no shortage of fun activities, but lounging to great music with delicious food in hand, surrounded by some of the best scenery in the state, is practically unbeatable. Snowbasin’s Blues, Brews & BBQ is quickly becoming one of Utah’s most popular outdoor concert series and for good reason.
Located at the Snowbasin Resort, the concert hall is second to none. Nestled in the back of the Wasatch Range and just below the famous peak of Mount Ogden, you’d be hard pressed to find a better way to spend your Sunday afternoons in July.
The concert series has already begun, and with the promise of cooler mountain temperatures, great music and award-winning food and drink, you won’t want to miss it.
It’s closer than you think
If you’ve never been to Snowbasin, know that it’s closer than you think – and it’s one of the most scenic drives in the state.
For reference, Snowbasin is located about 45 minutes north of Salt Lake City, 20 minutes outside of Ogden, and about an hour from Park City and Cache Valley. Doors open at 11 a.m. and close at 5 p.m.
Canine and family atmosphere
All concerts are outdoors, located near Earl’s Patio on the Lawn. Don’t worry if you don’t know where it is, it’s easy to find. Bring a blanket or lawn chair while you relax and listen to amazing live music.
Snowbasin is a dog-friendly resort, so bring your four-legged friends! Remember to keep them on a leash and clean up after them.
Good food and beers
While you relax on the lawn listening to the music, be sure to pick up some delicious, award-winning barbecue from Earl’s Lodge (see menu here). Pair it with one of the best local beers available and you have the perfect recipe for a good time.
If you want to save some cash, you can pick up a Snowbasin 2022 collectible and refillable beer mug for $30, which includes the first draft beer. Refills are $12.50 throughout Summer 2022 at all Blues, Brews & BBQ and other Snowbasin events through the end of the year, including SnowWiesn, the snow-themed festival. Snowbasin Oktoberfest with live music, beers and Bavarian food.
Local music for a good cause
There’s a wealth of musical talent in Utah, and many national and local artists take to the stage every Sunday, bringing great vibes, tunes, and fun for the whole family. And although there is an admission charge (children under 4 are free), a portion of all ticket sales are donated to the Ogden Valley Land Trust and the GOAL Foundation to help them with their respective missions to improve local communities.
