Real Salt Lake releases pins for a good cause

SALT LAKE CITY (abc4) – Real Salt Lake is launching a new charity initiative and wants the community to get involved!

The club offers limited edition commemorative pins for sale in its pro shop and online. Pins cost $15 and $5 goes to a charity fund. For example, this month’s pin is the lucky duck that landed on the court in 2018.

The money goes to the Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center in Montana. It helps animals rehabilitate before they are released back into the wild.

“I didn’t expect it to get this big, but it was really amazing to see the feedback and the love behind it all,” said Real Salt Lake team store manager Jennifer Rosa. .

“We think it’s a great way for us to have fun selling our merchandise and creating fun new fun ideas and it’s a way for us to give back,” said Thomas Warren, Merchandise Manager for RSL’s team store, at ABC4.

The club says it will change pins every month and will also choose a different charitable cause each month. Last month they donated money to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and next month the money is going to the Utah Food Bank.
