We are 120 miles east of Vernal, about 290 miles from SLC.

We are limiting this to 25 teams the first year, have about 10 teams signed up to date. CBJ Class Thursday night.

Event Update.

This event will be small, it is limited to 25 teams only. 14 are signed up as of today.

We have added a special feature to help teams traveling a long distance, like you guys in Utah. We are adding Team Sponsorship which gives the team $250 cash in exchange for:
1. Team will display sponsors sign at their site during the comp. (these will be small and standarized)
2. Team will provide sponsor VIP access to their site & cooking activities, but team will always be in control and in charge, i.e., your rules.
3. Team will provide sponsor with comp meats not submitted. If you vend also, you just have to work this one out.

Well, the help with the money puts me in this one. Besides, having traded a few emails with George, the whole idea sounds fun to me. I'd love to show someone how to really mess up some meat And isn't there a written rule somewhere that the new guy does the dishes

Anyway, seems like a great opportunity for some of us Utah folks to go show 'em what we're made of. Looks like Ed Roith and Gene Goycochea are the reps so it should be a well judged contest. Besides, if none of you come, who will I hang out with???
